Indianhead Lake Residence
New Construction
This new residence in Edina, Minnesota is situated in a dense grove of trees with panoramic views of a 14-acre lake. The narrow, 18 foot wide building footprint was sited to minimize site excavation and take advantage of the view throughout the house.
The main level features a master suite and one continuous room combining the great room, kitchen and dining space, with 10-foot ceilings to maximize passive solar gain. Located on the lower level are two guest bedrooms, guest bath, exercise room, storage and guest patio. The house maximizes lakeside views with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, while still being an energy efficient home through its mechanical and insulation systems.
